Namma veedu — our home. That's the feeling S. Visalam High Class Caterers has cooked for, since before "event management" was even a phrase.
S. Visalam High Class Caterers (P) Ltd. was built on a simple idea passed down through the family: feed every guest the way you'd feed your own relatives — generously, on time, and without cutting corners. What started as cooking for weddings within the Triplicane community grew, one referral at a time, into a full catering and event house trusted across Chennai.
Today the name S. Visalam sits behind more than ten thousand weddings and family ceremonies, and an estimated 65 lakh plates served — but the standard we hold ourselves to hasn't moved: if it isn't good enough for our own family's function, it isn't good enough to serve.
Talk To Our TeamRecipes and ritual knowledge passed down through the family, not generic catering-menu shortcuts.
Every guest served like they've walked into a relative's home — warm, unhurried, generous.
Hygiene, timing and coordination run with the precision a once-in-a-lifetime day deserves.

A Pillar Of The Visalam Caterers Legacy
Mrs. Lakshmi Prabha stands as one of the pillars of the Visalam Caterers legacy. As the eldest member of the family and a master of traditional culinary practices, she learned the art of cooking and catering from her mother-in-law, Mrs. Visalam, whose passion and expertise laid the foundation for the family's culinary journey.
Following this, Mrs. Lakshmi Prabha and her husband, Mr. Lakshmi Narasimhan, took over the family business and dedicated themselves to developing it further. Together, they nurtured the business with unwavering commitment, building it steadily while staying true to the traditional recipes, authentic flavours, and values passed down through generations.
From carefully preparing the masalas to the final serving of every dish, every aspect was carried out with tradition, precision, and care. The recipes they preserved and perfected became more than just food — they became a part of the family's identity and a culinary legacy shared with generations of guests.
What began as a family tradition gradually grew into a thriving generational business. With strong roots in authenticity, quality, hospitality, and traditional South Indian cuisine, their dedication helped transform Visalam Caterers into the respected name it is today. From Mrs. Visalam's kitchen to the next generation, the legacy continues — rooted in tradition, strengthened by family, and carried forward with love and passion for food.
